Friday Night Puppy Social Friday Night Puppy Social involves puppies interacting with each other in a controlled environment. Puppies will be given the chance to play with each other and become socialized with human adults and children. During this time, puppies have the added benefit of learning that the vet clinic can be a fun place. To ensure that everyone has an enjoyable and educational time, please read over the following:
* Puppies must be current on all vaccines and cannot attend social until they have had at least two vaccines. Puppy must also be current on flea prevention.
* Puppies can attend social until they are 20 weeks (5 months) of age.
* Please do not bring your puppy to Social if (s)he is sick. This includes, but is not limited to, any vomiting, diarrhea, and/or coughing.
* Punishment is not permitted under ANY circumstance. Prong collars, choke chains, and shock collars are not permitted. Do not spank, hit, or yell at your puppy. Do not give any leash corrections. Any person using punishment may be asked to leave Social.
* IN THE RARE INSTANCE THAT A FIGHT BREAKS OUT, DO NOT TRY TO STOP THE FIGHT! Rebecca closely monitors play and will break up any interaction if she feels it is necessary.
* Please ignore any puppy that jumps on you during Social. The owner of the puppy may be working very hard to teach their puppy not to jump. Any interaction with the puppy while the puppy is jumping rewards the behavior and encourages jumping.
* Children are an essential part of puppy socialization. Puppies need to learn that children are nothing to be afraid of. It is very important that children do not scare the puppies during this time. Please do not allow your child to pick up any puppies. Do not allow your child to chase, hit, or yell at the puppies. For the safety of your child, please keep your child seated in the chairs provided. Unruly children will be muzzled and crated
* Puppy Social will be held in a vet clinic. Every possible precaution will be made to ensure that the play area is cleaned and disinfected before play time and that all puppies are healthy and vaccinated. Because of the nature of allowing animals to interact with each other, there is the possibility that a puppy may become injured. Everything possible will be done to prevent this from happening. By signing below, you agree to not hold Animal Care Center or Rebecca Lynch liable for any illness or injury your puppy may have during or after attending Puppy Social.
