clicker training is!
What is Clicker Training?
Clicker training is a method of training where a "click" marks
desired behavior. The dog learns that whatever it was doing
at the exact moment he heard the click is what we want from
him. Because the click is paired with a reward, the dog tries
to figure out what to do to get the click again. When the dog
does what you want, you click to tell him that he was right.
This method works very fast and teaches the dog to
problem-solve. Traditional methods of training punish a dog

only a few ways to do something right. With positive reinforcement, we simply tell the dog that he is doing right.
Because there is no punishment involved and the dog learns to love learning, positive reinforcement training is great for boosting confidence in shy or fearful dogs. It requires no physical force, so anyone can train. Through this method of training, you and your dog truly learn how to communicate with each other.
